The former head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Rich Cordray has also served as Ohio Attorney General, Solicitor General, and Treasurer. He has vowed to do everything in his power to level the playing field for all Ohioans, which includes focusing on challenges specific to the Black American community—access to quality, affordable health care and education.
In an effort to provide greater access to the American Dream for Ohio residents, Cordray indicates that his administration would make it a priority to empower minority owned businesses, and will focus on job training, infrastructure, transportation, and child care initiatives to facilitate the development of new and old businesses within the state.
As chief executive of a state with a significant Black population, Cordray’s demonstrated commitment to the BE Alliance’s mission will benefit all Ohioans.
