Digital ads build on BET’s Black Men’s Summit

WASHINGTON, DC – The Black Economic Alliance, a nonpartisan coalition of Black business leaders and aligned advocates, in partnership with BET released a final round of digital ads that have been running across BET’s digital and social platforms. The four ads – on Home OwnershipBlack BusinessesEconomic Freedom, and Reproductive Rights – target infrequent Black male voters with messages about the importance of voting to economic prosperity.

The ads expand on messages highlighted at BET’s Black Men’s Summit, which aired on Tuesday, October 29, and was fueled by research and policy solutions from BEA’s Policy Agenda to Advance Black Work, Wages, and Wealth. Economic issues were front and center at the Summit, which also featured BEA Co-Chair Charles Phillips discussing the progress made – and work yet to be done – in closing the racial wealth gap.

The BEA-BET election-season partnership also included BET amplification of BEA’s digital ad, “Table,” across the network’s social and digital channels.

“BEA’s research has identified the policy solutions, the messages, and the messengers that resonate with the infrequent Black male voters who have the power to decide this election – and our critical partnership with BET is helping us turn that insight into action,” said Samantha Tweedy, CEO of BEA. “As we approach Election Day, it is essential to highlight the stakes of this election for Black economic prosperity and for America’s economy as a whole.”

“BET is deeply committed to amplifying the voices and priorities of Black communities, and our partnership with the Black Economic Alliance strengthens that mission,” said Scott Mills, President and CEO of BET Media Group. “By addressing critical issues like economic freedom, business ownership, and reproductive rights, we’re not only encouraging Black men to vote but empowering them to shape the policies that impact their economic futures. With Election Day approaching, this campaign is a vital reminder of the power each vote holds in building a more equitable economy for all.”
