By Black Economic Alliance |

WASHINGTON — Charles Phillips, Co-Chair of the Black Economic Alliance, joined the Tom Joyner Morning Show’s Roland Martin on Monday to discuss the Black Economic Alliance’s purpose, process and endorsements. Mr. Phillips, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Infor, the third largest business software applications company in the world, helped create the Black Economic Alliance to support political candidates who are committed to championing economic policies that will improve outcomes for Black Americans.

“We’ve been giving money for years, just not collectively, and when you do that, you don’t get any accountability. So we give the money, we vote, and then nothing happens. So we got frustrated…We decided to lock arms. Let’s raise our own money. Let’s give it together, and let’s be there after the election demanding results…We know something about growing something, so let’s apply that to our community rather than our businesses.”
