WASHINGTON, D.C. –– The Black Economic Alliance (BEA), a nonpartisan coalition of Black business leaders and aligned advocates, will host a virtual town hall titled “What Do Black Men Want?”. The town hall will take place today, Monday, October 28, at 8:00 p.m. EDT as part of efforts to engage and mobilize Black male voters in battleground states ahead of the 2024 election.
The event will provide a platform for open dialogue on the challenges and opportunities facing Black men in the lead-up to this Election Day, with a focus on the economic issues that BEA’s polling found are of top concern for Black voters. Black businessmen and other leaders will share insights and resources that influencers and thought leaders need to activate Black male voters in their networks. As part of its 2024 political strategy, BEA is working to increase voter turnout for candidates who prioritize Black economic prosperity.
“Black voters will be decisive in the battleground states that will shape this election,” said Samantha Tweedy, CEO of the Black Economic Alliance. “Our research shows Black male voters want to hear directly from Black business leaders – and BEA is both uniquely positioned and ready to provide the right messages and messengers to mobilize Black men from now through Election Day.”
This town hall is part of BEA’s broader efforts including a Black voter texting program, digital ad campaign, and letter on behalf of Black business leaders to ensure Black voters are fully informed and empowered as they make decisions about their economic future in the 2024 election.
