WASHINGTON, DC – The Black Economic Alliance, a nonpartisan coalition of the nation’s foremost Black business leaders and aligned advocates, today issued the following statement:

“The Black Economic Alliance (BEA) stands with CEOs who have reaffirmed their commitment to advancing corporate racial diversity.

“BEA Foundation has curated extensive research into corporate diversity efforts and the evidence is overwhelming: they are popular with the American public, they are good for businesses’ bottom lines – and, by helping to close racial economic gaps, they are good for the growth of the American economy.

“A BEA Foundation/Harris Poll found that 81 percent of the American population agree that corporate America should reflect the diversity of the American population. McKinsey data shows that companies with the highest diversity on their executive teams outperform their peers by nearly 40 percent.

“As business leaders, we know first-hand that it is the responsibility of a CEO to prioritize what is best for their shareholders, their customers, their employees, and their bottom lines.”
